I have a good T-Mobile plan, and though hunting over their website shows that it charges double minutes to use a conference call feature, it does not explain whether the Free Nights and Weekends are still free. IE: Is a conference call Free when done during the "free" periods such as nights and weekends?
If you receive a call and then conference a third person, you are paying double minutes - 1 for incoming and 1 for outgoing. If you are on your night/weekend period, there should not be a problem with double minutes, since it's free anyway.
You can also check out the Conference Calling Blog at: http://www.conferencecalling.tv
There are tons of resources and information there! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=1006050620063&kid=PLl8XkzqDFpEKjCIAnXC&s=comm&date=2007-08-07+20%3A42%3A50&.crumb=
If you are using this feature within your free nights/weekends, it doesn't cost.
